ISRO Scientist/Engineer SC Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 175 Posts

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), through the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB), has released a recruitment notification for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ posts in Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science. The recruitment is for Level-10 Group ‘A’ positions in ISRO Centres/Units and PRL. The official advertisement is dated 27 August 2026 and applications are invited from eligible BE/B.Tech graduates.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer SC Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

The application fee is ₹250 for all posts, while candidates initially pay ₹750 as processing fee. The processing fee is refunded to candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT; eligible exempted categories receive full processing-fee refund, while other candidates receive ₹500 after deduction of the ₹250 application fee.

Payment is made online through the Bharatkosh e-Payment Gateway using Internet Banking, UPI or domestic Debit Card.

The notification specifies 65% aggregate marks or CGPA 6.84/10 as the minimum academic requirement.

Note: The notified vacancies are provisional and may be increased or decreased by ISRO through a corrigendum.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer SC Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 28 years as on 16 September 2026. Serving Central Government civilian employees, Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer SC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

  1. Written Test/CBT
  2. Interview
  3. Final Selection/Merit

Candidates are shortlisted for interview based on Written Test performance in a 1:5 ratio, with an aggregate minimum of 10 candidates.

The final panel gives 50% weightage to Written Test marks and 50% weightage to Interview marks.

Part A contains discipline-specific questions. Part B covers Numerical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Diagrammatic Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning and Deductive Reasoning.

For final selection, the qualifying aggregate is 60% for Unreserved candidates and 50% for eligible PwBD candidates.

Interview

The interview carries 100 marks and assesses technical/academic knowledge, technical general awareness, presentation and communication skills, comprehension and academic achievements.

ISRO Scientist/Engineer SC Salary

Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 with a minimum basic pay of ₹56,100/- per month. DA, HRA, Transport Allowance and other benefits are provided as per applicable Central Government rules.

Eligible candidates should visit the official ISRO website and complete the online registration between 27 August 2026 and 16 September 2026 up to 11:55 PM. Fill in all required details carefully, upload the prescribed photograph, signature and applicable supporting documents, pay the required processing/application fee through the online payment gateway and submit the application. After registration, preserve the Online Registration Number for future reference. The registered email ID must be correct because hall tickets/call letters will be sent through email.

Candidates already employed with Government departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies etc. must obtain and produce the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) as prescribed in the notification.
